Try thinking of iced tea, after you take a sip. Its heinekin or rolling rock that has th after taste of tea. Its odd.

That's pretty much what I thought as soon as I saw the title of this thread. My friend always used to talk about "Heineken farts," and sure enough, he always got 'em, bad. I always figured this was from the yeast. But I noted it too.

I like their dark beer better than their light beer. The dark beer is excellent in chili.

My cousin just came out from the west coast and we did a lotta drankin, and promptly discovered his strong dislike for my favorite beer. Supposedly his friends and family hated the stuff as well, describing it as a very "skunky" beer. I myself just cant see it, just how things are.

Screw drinkin what you dont like or even questioning what you think you should like because it's popular. Just curious, what's you're favorite beer?

I think the glass comment may be spot on. It's well known that lighter shades of glass make it easier for beer to spoil. In my experience I prefer Heineken from a can, although I prefer most beers from a bottle.

Heineken can > Heineken bottle

But when I go to the bar and drink a 'light' beer (not Light beer per se, just something pale) I usually order the cheaper stuff like a Tecate or a Pabst. Because Heineken is more expensive, typically served in bottles and not good enough to merit this.

Also, beers decline in appeal as they warm up to varying degrees. Heineken seems like it gets warm and gross faster than any other beer.

I'm not a huge Heineken fan. If you want a GREAT imported beer that is both full-bodied and refreshing, drink Stella Artois -- Belgian beer just starting to get popular in this part of the country (Dallas)...starting drinking it a few years ago while living in Europe -- very lucky for us it's finally starting to show up over here.

Check it out next time you're at your favorite watering hole.

For those that like Heineken better than American macros like Bud, Miller, etc., try Pilsner Urquell. If you like Pilsner Urquell better than Heineken then you are 1 step closer to becoming a beer geek, which can be a very rewarding thing (but expensive). If you still think Heineken is better then you are probably going to be a crap beer drinker the rest of your life, which isn't too bad (but cheaper).

Heineken is fine if you are into watersports. To each his/her own; it's just not my thing.

this was all that was in my fridge. I polished off the jagermeister last night and did not restock. also i only drink one mixed drink, and it is a house special at one bar. otherwise it's a shot of jager and a corona each round. my boys are the same way.

I still don't get it. You said you don't like the taste of beer, yet your standard is jager and corona? Did you really mean that you do what your "boys" do regardless of what you actually enjoy? Hell, I don't care if someone drinks Smirnoff Ice if that's what they enjoy. When it comes to a simple pleasure like drinking alcohol I'm more into satisfying my taste buds than being cool.
