I decided to fold my JJ on the small blind vs a large late position raise from the small stack. 4th level, 5 players left of $30 STT on Party. The PF raiser is 40+% ITM.

Was this too tight a fold? My thinking was that I was likely a fair bit ahead, but if I lost the hand, I wasn't nearly as favored to get ITM.

I would definitely call. And if you win, you can do some big stack bullying on the bubble for a lot of chips.

JJ facing push from a button that perhaps knows what he's doing? hmmmm, i can't fold this. quite possible you are only facing one over, or an under-pair. there will be very few instances where you are not very far ahead. push back yourself, and position yourself to abuse the bubble with your new big stack!

A) The villain did NOT overbet. If he had bet anything less than all in here, then he is a donk.

B) Happily call.
