I am dealt AhQs utg+1 and raise to $8. The button, whose stats are 32/14 calls. Flop comes A 8 6 with two hears. I bet $20 and he raises to $60. What is my move? I have been at the table for less that 10 hands and have no real read on the player other than the stats. and comments would be apprectiated. Thanks

p.s. I am a long time reader but this is my first of maany posts to come. Thanks

Would it be too weak to fold here? Villain could have set or better ace. Only hand u are pretty much beating is a flush draw. Im probably laying this down most of the time. Stack sizes would help though.

stack sizes would be good, but assuming full stacks, I probably call this, then lead the turn for around half the pot. I don't like getting pushed off of top pair this easily. If he raises your turn bet, then you can probably fold. Sets a bad precedent folding top pair after only a few hands at the table...any ace could be raising you here.

Button is 32/14 over how many hands? This doesnt look like someone flat calling UTG raises with "any ace." The raise says to me "I can beat TPTK" or "I'm going to the felt with my flush draw." Since the A /images/graemlins/heart.gif is on the board and without any read, I give him credit for a big hand and fold.

Id be interested to know how many think this is way too weak tight.

By the way

the A of hearts was in my hand, not on the board
