First OOT post. I've browsed for bit but sorry if my ignorance is way too apparent.

So... has anyone else gotten so used to having a 2 or 3 monitor setup at home that it's just infuriating to have only 1 at work?

I do genetic data analysis for a laboratory so I sit at a computer all day, with multiple windows open all over the place (including this one).

I have an extra monitor laying around at home that I thought I'd bring here to work.

Has anyone else done this? Do your co-workers think you're crazy?

Yeah, I think so... it's a Dell purchased in January, with a flat panel. I can hook my CRT from home into the analog slot.

Why not try and get your groups admin to get you a second one then instead of bringing one in?

I thought about that, but then everyone might be like, why does HE get an extra one? There's three other people in my group who do exactly what I do and they're fine with one monitor, but I just don't think I can take it anymore.

I thought I would get less flack if I just brought in my own.

Yah but if you can pull it off work paid for >>> your own. If you want to go that route just do it, but figure out first if there's some way you need to tag it when you bring it in so when you get canned later you can take it with you /images/graemlins/smile.gif.
