Also I tried to use the converter for this hand and I couldn't get it to work. Is it down or am I doing something wrong?

I have made the play a few times and every time I usually reget it. I think that you are going to be behind in the hand most of the time and you are probably hoping he is holding a PP JJ or under at best, and also quite likely he would have QQ+ or AK which would put you way behind in the hand.

I think I would rather take a shot later, especially since winning this hand really may not make that large of a difference down the road.

This is by no means a mandatory push situation. The problem is you are still 9 handed. I would wait for situations where you can open raise to build your chipstack. I would fold.

If it seems clear that the villain is loose, I don't think this is terrible, although you have to realize that you probably aren't a big favorite (against anything except AJ & AT), and could feasibly be a big underdog (AA-QQ, AK). Considering the stack sizes, I'd lean toward folding and finding a better situation, but if you do play it, I think a push is better than a call.
