Villain played his first hand at the table. His stats seemed decent, something like 22/14/2.5

I think I should have raised the turn (fold to 3bet) to take a free showdown. I might get K9, a hand like KT or maybe even a Q to fold this way. Does this way up against the chance he 3bets me with an A so I got to make a fold while I might got up to 5 outs? Now I had to make a tough river decision ending up with the same amount of bets in. What do you think?
