It's the guy who said "Warriors, come out and play?" Or is there something else I'm missing?

I do, but I wouldn't have without the Loc.

I recall seeing a blip of this movie on "I love the 70s."

I didn't think there was anything to get.

These are the Armies of The Night. They are 100,000 strong. They outnumber cops five to one. They could rule New York. Tonight they're all out for the Warriors.

On a really slow comp and it took a while to load. At first I thought it was going to be a screen from Resident Evil 4 so I got excited. Now I'm clueless although not entirely let down. Answer is no, I dont get it.

I often ask myself the same question about my own avatar, but I actually prefer fewer people understanding it.

If I remember right, that movie sucked hard. Wasn't there a gang on roller skates? Oohh, scarey.

I heard Rockstar is making a game, based on the Warriors.
The last scene at Coney island is the best. I love the brunette girl from "Too Close for Comfort" who was in it. She was skanky hot.

Agreed, I netflixed this crap movie on recommendation from Bill Simmons (page 2). Pretty much destroyed his credibility for rating movies.

Don't forget the gang of mimies.

It was an awesome movie in its day. But you're right, I saw it again recently and was like, wtf, Is that the same move?

I had a friend who hyped this movie to no end. He finally made me watch it and I have to agree with you guys, it's pretty terrible. But terrible in a strangely rewatchable sort of way.

I figured this movie was probably regarded as awesome in its day, and that just saddened me. Hell I'll hijack this thread just to satisfy my curiosity--what movies from this generation are going to be regarded as crappy and gay in 30 years?

Anything that relies on special effects, as well as anything centering on a current fad.

I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if the Big Lebowski falls into this category, although I do think it's a substantially better movie than the Warriors.

If you're going to say something like that, you have to back it up with some evidence. IMO, no way in hell will Big Lebowski ever seem as bad to future generations as The Warriors does to us.

Nah. This movie is already over ten years old and still great.
