Villian is 28/0 after 18 hands. Is this a clear fold?

thanks for the reply.

what hand could you see the villian having? at the time i couldn't imagine anything other than a bluff or the straight, and do unknowns 3-bet bluff that much?

there are very few times I'm laying down a set. Particularly at SSNL. though he could have a higher set or a straight... there's a lot of other hands the BB could have that you beat (1 pair, 2 pair, set of 3s).

good points. this is why i posted this hand, i have trouble laying down sets when i think i'm beat, so i folded after a while thinking that the odds just weren't good enough considering i felt beat.

i hadn't given too much thought to a 2-pair hand, but that would make sense. a bunch of sense. i assumed he had the straight, a set, or nothing. but a hand like J4 or 74, with such a small stack, would probably play it the same way.

I think that not only did you have pot odds to call, you are ahead here more than 50% of the time.

im not laying this down if u point a bazooka at my head in this situation. not that i think u r 100% ahead, i just think this is most definately a +EV spot. if he does have the nut str8 u still have odds, and guys at this level will play a lot of hands this way i.e. 2 pair/lower set/even TPTK sometimes.

I'm as weak tight as they come and even I think this is 100% call.
