Guy just sat down, pretty aggressive preflop and postflop.

Thoughts?

are you folding to a raise?

I would check this through. do you think he calls with A high here?

I think he does. I'm just not sure if there's enough value in JUST the A high.

I was also hoping that he would possibly fold a hand like 96 or 97 or 57 or 58 etc. Is this asking too much?

if I saw your &gt;3 postflop AF I would have a very hard time folding a hand like that to you getting 9-1.

I'd rather wait until I get a feel of his post flop tendencies, but I don't think you got out of line here. I would check the river behind though.

You hoping that he'd call with A high + you hoping that he'll fold with a low pair don't go together.

He'll call with a better hand and fold a worse one imo.

This is a true statement. [censored]. Oh well. He ended up calling with A high, but I thought it was too thin of a value bet so I just went ahead and bet it.
