I am having a hard time finding my next book, I think I have read everything that is highly recommended.
Anyway I have read..
S/S 1 and 2
HOH 1 and 2
SSHE
TOP
HpAP
Ace on the River
King Yao's book
TJ's book (though I really only skimmed it and threw it away)
Hellmouths book (a long long time ago)
Killer Poker and the Online edition
Improve your Poker
and I swear I am forgetting one or two but don't know what. Thats the problem with loaning books out.
Any advice would be much appreciated

Are you retaining this information? In what kind of time span have you read all of these? I get the feeling that you are reading these books just to have read them, which will do you little good. We also cannot recommend a book without knowing whether you play limit or no limit, where and at what stakes.

How Good is Your Limit Hold'em (If you want to continue on your Hold'em learning)

Inside the Poker Mind (If you want to step away from a pure strategy book and delve into some of the aspects of the game)

Poker Essays I, II, or III (If you want to get away from pure strategy books or something not purely focused on Hold'em)

since I can't edit. I mainly play NL though I'll play high stakes limit if the game is good enough. I have read Zen and Tao of poker, those were what I was forgetting. Also read Banker, professor, blah. and aces and kings, and real poker 2 and positively 5th street but didn't count those.

After that note, thanks for the suggestions.

Do you want an enjoyable not learn too much about poker read, a book on tournaments, a book on hold'em, a book on omaha, or stud? It all depends what subject you want to read next. Poker is too broad of a topic to recommend a book when there are so many books on so many different topics. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Could you please tell me what S/S 1 and 2 are ?

Anyway how about Mike Caro's book of tells ? That might be quite interesting, particularly if you are planning to play a game of poker in a casino.

As the previous poster said, we dont know what your poker aim is. Are you trying to become a good NL player or a limit player.

You seem to have a good collection of the theory books so far. So if you are looking to read enjoyable poker books, there are plenty for that, which can be found on the conjelco book list.

If you are looking to improve your game, perhaps just try posting hands on the various parts of this forum.

THANK YOU.

I've wanted to say that so many times to these "I've got every poker book in the universe but I've heard there are some that aren't in print any more - should I get those next??" posts.

If you truly read and absorbed SS1, SS2, TOP, SSHE, IYP, HOH, etc., you should be killing the games you're in to such an extent that the monetary difference between buying one more book and buying all the ones you're considering will be negligible.

Read, reread, then rereread, take notes, review your play, etc. Don't simply assume that the answer to Perfect Poker is out there printed in the one book you didn't buy yet.

why dont you give bob ciaffone's book a try or try reading sklansky on poker or poker gaming and life

I like what Jordan said also, but I would recomend Harrington on Hold Em. Even though you said you are a cash, not tourney player, HOH I has good stuff, and most of the NL books out there are trash *coughmasteringnolimitholdemcough*.

Personally, I though Inside the Poker Mind was one of the most important books I read. Even though it pertains to limit, the thinking processes it inspires might be useful for a NL player as well.

Edit: Well, I see you have already read HOH. Read it again /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yes, I'm a little surprised that if you're playing NL you didn't mention Ciaffone (Pot and No Limit Poker). A must IMHO.

And, as is being pointed out, I had to play a couple thousand hands of NL before Ciaffone's advice began to sink in. Particularly, I had to get over my love of top pair. It was breaking my ass.
