View Full Version : Which of These is the Best Car to Buy?

The choices are:

2006 Ford Mustang V6 Coupe
2006 Nissan Altima
2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse

So which is the best? A little about me: I am 22 years old and quite tall (about 6'7). Factors I am weighing are: sexiness, price, roominess (I don't want my head hitting the roof obviously). Please feel free to comment on these and any other factors that might be important (durability, gas etc.) Thanks.

I'm defintely going with the altima here as long as your getting the SL package on it... If you can afford it, the SE-R altima is a pretty sweet ride.

You are too tall for an Eclipse.

the eclipse is a fine car if you are shorter than 6'0" Paul Walker drove one in Fast and the Furious OMG

Obviously your sarcasm detector is broken. I am aware that moron is spelled with an o, but not in OOT.

I'm like 6'2 and my Eclipse has plenty of room. Besides, the new ones look bad ass. I admit the post '99 ones suck though.

What engines are you considering in both the Eclipse and Altima?

scion tc. with regard to roominess, you'd be amazed. i've heard tall people like it, and you can fit an unbelievable amount of crap in it (the back seat folds down, etc).

The Altima is the best on the list. If you're gonna get a Mustang, get the V8 or don't get one at all. And if this is going to be your first car, you don't wanna get something new. You don't like Accords?

I've heard of engine problems with the scions? Any truth to this?

I like the Eclipse but you're gonna have to see if you fit in the car. Mustang V8 is the way to go.

I've never heard anything in particular about scions, but they are just re-branded toyotas, so I have a hard imagining the engines aren't high quality.

Not so far but then again there aren't any with over 300,000 miles on them yet, Be patient, one of them will develope an engine problem by then.

If you can afford to buy a brand new Altima, get a fully loaded '04 Maxima with a few thousand miles on it for near the same price.

Considering your factors, those are terrible choices.
