Hero?

Two questions.
1) How bad was that 9h, considering that this is the first hand of the tournament.
2) Do I want to get all in on this turn?

I think I would make another large bet on the turn (maybe t150), you have tptk... and JT seems unlikely. If he raises moved to check/call mode. Why push, if he made his str8 he is calling, if he did not, he is folding (what is the benefit to pushing here? However, if you're worried about str8, pushing the flop would be better than the turn in this situation, IMO)

What range of hands do you put Villian on? What would he call with preflop and call with on the flop? Is he setting you up for something? Or is he calling down with his AQ?

Right now, you've got to think your hand is good.

However, you are afraid of reverse implied odds, which is bad with TPTK, and even worse OOP.

So, you've got t395 in the pot, about t800 left.

Very close to being able to push, IMHO. Too much to make full pot...

I think I check here. It's a good spot to slow down. It's never good to give up free cards, but it'd be nice to be bluffed into, and you can check-raise to a bet or something.

God, I hate being OOP.

This early, no reads, out of position with only TPTK I probably check this turn 90% of the time. See if I can narrow his hand range with his action on the turn. Betting to find out where I'm at here puts me in serious risk of going home on the first hand.

With more of a read or farther in the tournament I might check-raise or at least fire again here. But this early, being out of position here with no read might make me lay down the winner if I get outplayed - otherwise I'm happy to check and possibly even check it down.

Maybe too weak, but thats my play here.
