I never had him while I was at school there, but he was well regarded by my friends who took his classes. That sentiment seems to be echoed by his reviews on bruinwalk.com

it was made by the people who eventually made Doom/Quake.. started the whole FPS scene.

Anybody ever tried playing this on a C64 with that crappy joystick? Talk about an exercise in futility...

Both were totally sweet... but this seemed to have better graphics.

I played it on my C64 without a joystick, just using the keyboard.
Loved finding all the grenades and blowing the crap out of a room.
There was a bug where you could blow a hole in the wall at the top of the screen, go through, then you would end up in the middle of the room you just exited, except everyone was alive and the grenade box was full again. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
Christ that makes me feel old thinking about it. (or thinking about playing enchanter or zork in text only)

I took his class 15 years ago. If anyone knew him, there's kind of a funny story. I was just reminded of him over the weekend because it looks like the majority of our users are in college now.

Just read that hes a poly sci prof, which would by why i havent heard of em, since my knowledge of the daym school is practically limited to boelter hall /images/graemlins/mad.gif
