In HE4AP, Sklansky recommends that you avoid raising preflop with many raising hands in loose games to avoid bloating the pot. If you play this way, you will allow your opponents to make bigger mistakes later.
If you played according to this strategy, and your loose/passive/bad opponents got together and decided that whenever you entered a pot, the next person who would have called would raise instead, would this cost you money? Assume you can't 3-bet.
