After playing 1/2 08 on Absolute for a while, I decided to head over to Party, as there are more games/worse players. I was a winning player at AP, and did pretty well in the short time that I played. I purchased PTO before I started playing on Party because I wanted to get more serious about the game. I was doing marginably well at first (3bb/100) but now I've hit a pretty bad run and I'm not sure if it is just variance, or if my game needs work. So I'm asking if anyone would take a look at my stats, as I'd really like to locate and correct any leaks in my game. Because I had started with only $100 on Party, I wanted to start at the lower limits and work up, so most of these stats are .50/1 and 1/2. Sample size is reasonably small, but I want to get input before I play any more, as I am pretty close to going back to hold'em.

Sample size is very small

3000 hands aren't nearly enough to really make any valid conclusions about any stats.

So you can draw no conclusions at all about my play? We can get an idea of how our opponents play by looking at their stats, usually with a much smaller sample size. Look I understand its not a lot of hands, but I'm starting to get really frustrated by this game. It has been said that the .5/1 games on Party can pretty much be beaten by a monkey, but I'm making an ass of myself out there.

I have a hard time reading stats these days, but from what I see, it seems as if you are playing too many hands.

Anyone know (with confidence) what solid/ideal blind numbers might be? (e.g. VP$IP-SB, loss rate)

I have not figured out the exact number for the SB yet, but I'm working on it.

I had that position up to 74% and when I looked at the numbers it was by far the biggest loser in the group.

I'm working it down now, but I still play too many.

I'm thinking of playing that spot just like I would from middle to late position. Slightly looser but not completing my blind just for the sake of seeing a flop. If it fits into my usual playing numbers...great, I'll play. If not, throw the small bet away before it turns into 3 big bets.

Just a theory I'm working on.

Here are some old threads with PTO stats.

Here 2 (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2658420&page=&view=&sb=5& o=&vc=1)

Maybe those can shed some light on this issue.
