Prince of Darkness (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&cid=514&e=6&u=/ap/20030327/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/perle_resignation)

Technically he resigned but the reality is this guy got fired. No wonder he didn't like Seymour Hersh.

"Technically [Richard Perle] resigned but the reality is this guy got fired. No wonder he didn't like Seymour Hersh."

I read somewhere that the guy is gonna sue Hersh in the British courts, where he has a much bigger chance of getting a verdict his way. Defamation laws are more strict there, and freedom of speech less protected. Apparently he can do that because the article was reprinted in the UK.

He resigned his chairmanship from the DOD's advisory panel but he's still on the panel. From what I read it ostensibly had nothing to do with Hersh's story but for planning to sell fiber optic technology to a Chinese-owned company. He deserves ... worse.

The more insprired firing news was Connie Chung. That this ntiwit is off the air is a big relief to media junkies everywhere.
