What is the rake at Foxwoods in hold'em? How does this compare to Mohegan sun, and B&M in general? Thanks. /forums/images/icons/club.gif

IIRC it's basically the same there as at Mohegan. At Foxwoods 10-20 hold-em it's max $4, $1 at $10 (or $20?), $2 at $20 (or $40?), $3 at $60 (or $80?), and $4 at $120. I'm going from memory, but that's the basic idea. I've seen people on r.g.p claim it's straight 5% or 10% but they are wrong. 5-10 is also $4, but it comes out earlier. I think the fourth buck comes out at $80, plus the game is played with a kill at $100 or $120. Below those levels it's prety much straight 10%, max $4.

The effective rake is higher at the Taj. 5-10 is straight 10%, max $4, 10-20 stud is straight 5%, max $4, and 10-20 hold-em is time, at $5/half-hour, and 15-30 is $6/half-hour, and I foregt if 20-40 is $6 or $7 (plus people will play time pots sometimes in the time-charged games).

However, the Taj has much better comps than Foxwoods: $1/hour for 5-10, $2/hour at 10-20, and I think $2.50/hour at 15-30. (I'm not sure where the next comp level is). At Foxwoods, you get .50/hour for 5-10, and $1/hour for 10-20 (through 20-40 I believe, though they were running a special for a while that gave you $3/hour at 20-40 hold-em, though that's over).

If anyone knows better, please correct my figures, but I think I got the general idea right.

David,

I was at the Taj in early March. I was comped $1/hr inthe 3-6 game, and you are correct, the comps in AC seemed to be better than CT. The rate you gave in the previous post of .50$/hr is correct at foxwoods up to the 5-10 game.

As far as the rake goes, I haven't been to Foxwoods or Mohegan in a while (I'm going to Mohegan on Sunday) but the rake is a $4 max in the games up to 5-10. JTG51, who regularly posts here, plays 10-20 and should know the rake for that game. I also believe it is 10% up to the $4 in the games up to 5-10, but don't quote me on that, 5-10 may go $1 for every $20 up to the $4 max.

All of the games at Foxwoods have a $4 maximum rake. I think all of them take $2 on the flop.

The rake for 10/20 at Foxwoods is $2 on the flop, $3 at $80 and $4 at $160 (I'm almost sure of that).

For 5/10 it's $2 on the flop, $3 at $40 and $4 at $80 I think. When there is a kill, I believe it moves to $3 at $60 and $4 at $120. Don't quote me on those numbers though.
