I feel like this is the forum standard but I'm almost sure I'm toast here. no reads.

BTW 20K, .25BB/100, PLEASE TELL ME I WILL EVENTUALLY RUN GOOD IN THIS [censored] GAME

Party 5/10 6max.

SB open completes, I raise AJo in the BB

flop J82 rainbow.
he checks, I bet, he calls

turn 7 putting two hearts on the board
he bets, I raise, he three bets, and I call down a blank river even though I'm never really good here at all.

should I keep doing this?

i am on big time tilt. don't worry I stopped playing. poker might not be the game for me.

without a read folding would never even cross my mind, unless a 4th heart rivered i suppose.

All I can offer is sympathy. I am getting pwned at .5/1 6 max. I do the same thing. Calling down when I am pretty sure I am beat. I am also running cold as hell.

Cheer up, I know you rule the lower limits. Maybe some lower limit 6 max will cheer you up?

thanks for the sentiment.

no, a possible leak of mine is that I will absolutely refuse to move down until I absolutely have to. I havent lost any money at this game so I'm going to keep banging my head against the wall.

Thanks. I call down in the spots like in the OP too, unless they're overly passive.

The more you play in these games the more you'll realize that you have to call down in that spot. He'll c/r there with a flush draw, bottom pair, a set, a complete bluff etc. If you're questioning the play in this hand you're probably running bad. You'll also be putting a target on your chest for
future aggression.

I ran bad like this recently. When the smoke cleared, I realized that during the stretch I had lost my ability to value bet the river, always expecting the worst.

I've been running better lately, and thank goodness I've got my mojo back in this regard. Look for this in your own play, being in a shell like this, you can easily leave your entire winrate laying on the table.

Also, re: this hand, call it down. What was villain's stats by the way? (Not that it really matters, i've seen guys with 0.7 AFs bet-3-bet me twice with MP on a paired board, and that was just tonight)

Even taking into account the FOS factor, you can pick your spots to fold. This isn't really one of them for don't get in teh mood of never folding anything because i spend all day laughing at those people.

In your spot I'd call down most of the time. When you riase you get beat up for 2 more bets when you are behind and just let him fold when he is bluffing.

i'n not folding this.

and as for 20k hands at .25bb, i have 4 20k blocks at 5/10 now and every single one had a radically different bb/100 (overall at 1.4 but i tilt more than anybody else in this forum after seeing somethingclever's and entity's "tilt" posts.)

Against an unknown, you have to play it the way you did.

Remember that embarrassment holds back a lot of the worst tilt posts.

Calling down in this spot is definitely +EV against most players. You are beat more than 50% of the time, yes, but not nearly enough that you can fold this.
