I decided to give NL cash games a shot and started down at the bottom of the stack $25 NL. I have been working my way up to $200 NL party or 2/4 NL on poker stars.

I am finding it easier to play each higher limit as I go up. $25, $50, $100, $200. I won almost every session on $200 NL.

I sum it up to players being afraid to put in $50 on a call with odds yet they play reasonable hands. THey are pretty readable too. I am sure that the higher limit than that are different but until now its all good.

Have you all had the same experience?

I also have moved up from NL 25 to NL 200 and my BB/100 decreases slightly at each level, but it's hard to say b/c it only took me about a month to make the move and I have less than 3,000 hands for each level. Geberally I would say this is the trend, and your situation can probably be attributed to a small sample size for each level.

I find the higher limits a lot more aggressive - easier to get paid of and stack someone but also a lot easier to get stacked

Yes the higher levels are easier to trap players. They just have no idea that someone could possibly be trapping. They expect "you have a hand, you bet, you dont you check".

With $25 NL you raise and everyone calls. You bet they still all call and you still have no clue as to their holdings. The one thing I do know about $25 NL is that if a player that is normally passive goes all in its time to fold. I do make a lot more money playing NL $200 than the lower levels. I just play tight and if I am 1st in I raise. I call with suited connectors in position and with callers. simple. I sometimes limp and mix it up, trap, bluff. Most bluffs are post oak bluffs after they see me value bet with big hands on the river or turn.

the higher the buyin the better the players.

you might win more $ moving up, but the biggest sustainable bb/100 is without a doubt at $25 NL

I started at .01-.02, and after a year or 2 am at 1-2, and generally find that BB/100 goes down a little each level

Except for some reason I had a hard time cracking .25-.50, not sure why, it may have just been the down side of variance
