How's the line? Stars $16 turbo. Early, no read. Only thing I'm not sure of is 3 betting the turn (and the lead out turn bet size) but I decided to play it safe.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

MP2 (t1460)
MP3 (t1340)
CO (t1430)
Button (t1540)
Hero (t1420)
BB (t1500)
UTG (t1500)
UTG+1 (t1930)
MP1 (t1380)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG calls t20, 3 folds, MP3 calls t20, CO calls t20, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t100) 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (5 players)
Hero bets t80, BB folds, UTG folds, MP3 calls t80, CO folds.

Turn: (t260) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero bets t150, MP3 raises to t300, Hero calls t150.

River: (t860) T/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero checks...

Probably. Are you planning to call a push on the river?

Then I don't mind it. A lot of players (me included) don't really get scared by flops like this and will bet on the river with worse hands if checked to them.

Not sure if you should push or call if he bets 400 though. I'd lean towards calling.

Assuming Stars people don't suck too much, this line looks very good. Can't really put donks on a hand, but you are inducing bluffing here.

I don't like the river check at all. My thinking runs like this:

1. You are going to lose all your chips to a bigger flush (either you push or they push/you call)
2. Most weaker hands are going to be scared by the board and just check on the river.
3. A good number of weaker hands will actually payoff a river bet (trips/2 pair most likely, but straight also possible)

It is the combination of these that I think make betting out the river a better play.

I don't think a river push indicates a bigger flush. They would probably bet smaller since it looks like I was just taking stabs (I didn't reraise the turn).

He wasn't scared enough to raise the turn.

After I bet all three streets?

And I have a really hard time calling a push if I bet.

I like pushing turn, or check calling river, if you bet and he pushed now what are you going to do? The only time you get pushed isnt always gonna be a better flush but it easily could be. Its a scary call. I like check calling.

Is he gonna call a turn 3bet without a flush?
