View Full Version : flop boat...board double pairs on river, what to do??

BB is a TAG
SB is a Donk

The flop and turn are easy, but what are we doing on the river?

I thought about checking behind but that would have been pretty weak, but I also didn't want to fold to a raise. Pretty sure BB hit his flush on the turn. Put SB on an A, though he could have had a big heart and thus stuck around.

Thoughts?

I really don't think a check-behind is weak here. What is he going to call with?

I think the donk calls with a flush, I think bb might too. But I agree checking behind is probably best.

No way I'm betting this river. You will get raised by an Ace 100% of the time, an 8 is calling, everything else is folding, except a flush. Once you get raised, you have to fold. You are ahead here like never.

1) You didn't flop a boat, you turned it.
2) River bet is god awful. The ONLY thing you are beating that may call is a flush, and 284093204 random hands beat you.
