I'd love to play in this but will not be able to /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

Also, I had my unbeatable run tainted by playing Irie a couple nights ago and accidentally booting up two other HU matches at the same time. I think it finally wore out my HU luckbox.

Same as a normal HU tournament on stars.

If a number of people register that is not a power of 2, which is highly likely, some are going to get a bye on the first round. ie if 24 people registered, the first round would be as if it were a 32 person tournament, 16 would play the first round and the other 8 would draw a bye. I do not know how they are selected, i think it is random. Then the second round there would be 16 players thus 8 matches. The winners move on.

If there are 4 min to 32 max players, which i would suspect is what will happen, 1st place will get 45% of the prize pool, 2nd place will get 25%, 3rd and 4th places will get 15%.

33 to 64 players pays 35%, 20%, 10%, 10%, 6 1/4%, 6 1/4%, 6 1/4%, 6 1/4%.

Usual blinds & starting chips. Blinds and starting chips double every round.

Just wanted to say it was one of the more fun online tournies I've been in, in some time. Great comp too. I don't think I've actually ever felt exhausted playing online, but in this one I did.
(I'm glenmawr70, by the way, on Stars.) By the time I got to my last match, I get a flush on the river, not a very high one, and I'm just like, F it, now or never, and I was all in. Great call by him, sorry I forgot his name, but he had the Q high (I had Ten high).

Glad you guys enjoyed it. Seemed fun to me. Except for my pocket Ks to Newt Buggs pocket aces, which was not the bad beat of the night btw. The worst that I saw was (from memory, don't hold me to the details) Dr Jekyl's Js full of As vs JCardShark's As full of Js.

I'll post results as soon as I get the e-mail.

I take it you would like to do this again next week?

Now thats what i call an overbet. 260 in the middle and you raised it so its 2820 to him.

If your called, how often will you be ahead? If your ahead, how often will you be called?

I would grumble and fold AT and lower and possibly AJ if i thought my opponant knew anything about poker.

But, HU is all about reads, if you think he can call with a weaker ace often enough, this is a solid enough push i guess.

The point of a move such as this is that it looks so donktastic that people will frequently refuse to believe that you'd play AK this way. So I think worse A's will call almost always, and TT-KK just slightly less often. I like the play.

Your all-in push with pocket nines on the turn was one street too late as I had already made my straight. On the flop, I had a combination hand/ pair with open end straight draw. I don't remember what you bet on the flop but I had tons of outs and don't believe my odds were all that bad.
