I have a few question about party pokers leaderboard points.

1) Do regular SNGs count?
2) Multi table SNGs?
3) How do they calculate the points for step tournies.
4) Which tournies are the best to play to rack up leaderboard points?


I ask these questions because after doing well in some Mini steps this month im in the top 30 on the leaderboard.

The party links don't always work like they should so here's a brief summary:

All tournies count. (except freerolls)
Points are awarded based on buyin, number of players, and finish.
Only the top 20% of the field get points. So, for SNGs you must finish 1st or 2nd.

I don't remember the exact formula. But you get alot more points for MTT final tables than winning a SNG. But obviously you can win alot more SNGs.

MTT final tables will get you ~500 pts +
A 20+2 SNG first gets you something like 60 pts.

There is a calculator on their site, but it depends on what day you try to find it. They have a tendancy to get their pages/links all screwed up.

3 place doesnt award points on party? Are you sure? Thats really retarded :O

haha, on empiore 8th place awards points in a sng. Not as much as a money finish obviously, but still.
