I never really got very seriously into SNGs, I screwed around playing them fairly often when I first started and did alright - but nothing serious.

Im going to continue playing limit regularly like I used to, but will probably start SNGing on the weekends.

Just a few general questions before i get started.

How is the variance compared to limit cash games? I've heard going 10 losses in a row is considered pretty damn bad...seems alot more manageable than a 300BB downswing in SH limit...

Rakeback - 25(or whatever)% of house juice? So for every 10+1 you can expect a quarter? Just making sure thats how it works...

Bodog - is this sites unlimited reload bonus with great SNG clear rate something you all take advantage of? from what i understand, you get basically 200% back on the rake.. so 10+1s cost 9 dollars...seems pretty worthwhile .

I think the FAQ (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2821605&page=0&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=2&fpart=1) should answer all of your questions.

SNG Poker has very little variance compared to cash games. While 10 losses in a row is pretty bad, you're going to have some bad runs intermixed with ITM's most likely, and so the standard bad drop around is 30 buyin's or so. Most people play Party here.

sorry i meant 200% rakeback for bodog, not 20

each dollar in tournament juice gets you 6 points. it takes 3 points to unlock 1 dollar.

One more thing - Little problem with PT...its only really showing my tournament results for tournaments i've won.. Anybody know how to fix this?

Do you immediately close tourneys you lose? If so, then you need to import the emails.

bodog changed

u now only get 3points per $1 rake in bodog, so only 100% rb, not 200%, so no overlay

add the fact that the look sucks and u can't 4-table and tourneys take longer with slower blind structure, and bodog isn't as +ev as you'd think

wait, so i gotta wait till they're all the way over even if i bust out in 9th? thats pretty awful...

no
u immediately leave
your tourney history is stored on your hard drive
if you are just tracking yourself and your places, etc, then that's all you need

i guess if u want info on all the opps as well, then you would wanna get a tourney summary sent to you and import it

but u still wouldnt have to wait...u'd just say 'yes' to getting tourney summary after game...then u can take that email they sent you and put it into pt or whatever

PT probably has your results in there. It just doesn't display them without the whole tounament history. Look in the manual entry section and you'll probably see a bunch that are hidden from the main display.

Right. Go to 'File' -> 'Enter PrtyPkr tournament summaries manually' (or something to that effect).
