Does anyone push this preflop instead?
My bet is made to induce action from weaker hands (although I don't mind taking just the blinds either).

You can do this with AA-QQ (and maybe JJ), but doing this with AK is sin.

AK is a push hand, not a call a push hand. What value do you have in the paltry chips left after your raise?
