Party $33

Blinds are 50/100 and will be going up in 7 more hands.

Stacks:
UTG-1850
Hero-600
MP1-725
MP2-625
CO-795
BTN-530
SB-1355
BB-1520

Hero is in EP with 22

UTG folds, Hero pushes.

I don't like it. 22 is too weak and he is pushing into too many players.

You're screwed. Fold the hand. Pray you get lucky in the BB and triple up.

I folded 22 in almost exactly the same situation last night.

I just think it's too dangerous considering the chances that I will get more than one caller, which would make me a pretty significant dog. Add that to the fact that people's calling ranges include PPs down to like 44, and you may very well be going in as an 80-20 dog.

I just think -- I mean, you're in pretty bad shape here but you're not really *desperate* yet. If you go through these blinds and are down to 450, you still have a few hands during which you have FE. I think I fold here and hope to find a better spot before the blinds raise to 75/150.

22 is a with 6 to go is a bit close. I would probably move in though given that the $33s tend to be very tight. This play is very clear cut if it was 33 and UTG 6 handed though.

Edit: this was a big leak of mine until, um, yesterday.

I used to like the push, then I busted a bunch, now I don't.

I'd push. I think you've got a lot of FE equity here -- you can pretty much bust anyone left in the hand if they call, except for the blinds. Also, you can still hurt the blinds significantly if they call and lose, and an UTG+1 push looks significantly stronger than a push from LP. I would think the calling ranges for the blinds are reasonably tight on average, something like 88+ and big aces. I'd say they're probably about the same for everyone else as well... since they're all short and are looking to double up quickly, but I doubt they want to be calling off their stack with K high or a weak ace. I think you're short enough for this to be a push.
