Sorry don't have the HH on this at work and its bothering me from last night:

8 people left.
blinds 50/100

Hero about 1800 in BB
Villian about 800 on the button

Hero cards A5o
3 limpers plus me in the big blind.

Flop:

A 3 5 (rainbow)

Main question is should I have raise preflop with this?

And if the blinds were 25/50 what difference would that make in how to play it?

Depends... did the villain eat his Oreo?

400 in the pot, I think I push this on the flop and hope some Ax makes the call. The last thing you want to see is a 2,3,4 hit and your opponent stuck around on one card to make your day miserable.

I think raising with A5o from the BB is just silly unless your going for a PVS. I'd just bet and keep betting and hope someone calls you down with a single pair of aces.

No chance you should be raising this pre-flop.

At 25/50 you only have 200 in the pot, I would probably bet 200-300 on the flop and then push a non 2,3,4 on the turn.

Okay, this is how I played the hand.

Hero on the flop bets 200.
fold
Villian raises to 300-400.
SB folds
Hero ?? So now I am thinking villian has Ax probably a good kicker 10+ or the x is a 2 or 4.
So I push small stack in here.

!!Bad beat warning!!
He turns over 24 SUITED!! No A or 5 on the turn or river for me and I become the short stack.

i might have check raise the flop and maybe folded to a significant raise....because blinds are so low and after a check raise you'll still have at least a g left..........sngs are won at the end and blind stealin.....soo stay in it....on the other hand puttin somone on 24o and layin down top 2 on the flop is hard to do....
