Anyone heard this stupid BS yet ?

It directly affects my college University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. The rule basically says that no college team in any sport can host a playoff game if they have a native american team name. They also refuse to recognize indian team names in the playoffs.

UND has one of the best (if not THE best) NCAA hockey teams in the nation, and we also have a solid Division II football team. Both of which have been making solid performances lately.

The ruling states that we can (under the current ruling) NEVER host a home playoff game or tournement of any kind due to the name "Fighting Sioux." We also are known as simply "North Dakota" in the playoffs, never mentioning the team name.

I think this is total BS, and i am completely appauled. I would make a poll, but i have no doubt in my mind that the rest of 2+2 would agree with me.

SICK

Yes. It was discussed several days ago in a thread on this forum. Use the search function.
