first night on the PPM cruise..after a little jet-lag and whatnot the GF and I crash out a little bit early.
Then wake-up at about 1:30am or so and decide to go drinking (it's a cruise afterall).

we go to the club on the top floor and it's totally deserted. One bartender and one DJ playing music for ZERO people (evidently this is common on cruise first-night's...I guess we did things in a different order).
We were drinking silly cruise-ship cocktail drinks...and then Chris Ferguson walks in with some semi-hot blonde girl.
They danced together for a couple of songs.
Then he sat in a chair near the dance floor while she did various stripper-like pole-dances for about 6 or 7 songs for him.

My GF knows nothing about poker and had never heard of nor seen Ferguson before. Her reaction was along the lines of "What is with this guy??"

I saw the same thing Bob, just on a different night on the PPM cruise. I played the first day, and did well. So I had the next day off before playing again so we went to party. My friends took me to that Crow's Nest. Sure enough, Jesus comes in and dances the night away. At one point he had four girls dancing around him in tight. Good for him. He was up ther till after 2am, and he was playing the next morning! This from a guy who thinks sleep is so impotant before a poker tourney he'll sleep in. How about going to bed at a reasonable hour?

actually, now that I think about it...

Chris is really a tournament fixture - not a ring game one, and with all stuff he does...

I would venture he's one of the few players who wins and plays like a pro, but he doesn't make it his life - he has so much other stuff going on (dancing, AI programming, Full Tilt) -

personally, I think that's a balanced life, and I don't care what any of the other threads say - if it's 2am, and I got 4 hot blondes dancing close to me, I ain't going to bed either (unless one of them wants to)
