PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (4 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

BB (t4580)
UTG (t1675)
Button (t5430)
Hero (t1815)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
1 fold, Button calls t150, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t450) 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
Hero bets t1665 (All-In), BB folds, Button calls t1665.

Turn: (t3780) 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t3780) 4/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t3780

Results in white below:
Button has Kh Kc (three of a kind, kings).
Hero has Kd 9s (one pair, kings).
Outcome: Button wins t3780.

Any way I could have avoided this? On the bubble here flop top pair decent kicker...with no PF raise. I think I made a good push here, anyone agree/disagree?

Thanks

nvm; i didnt see it was 3 handed on the flop

good push. the CR is a bad idea because you give a free card. you are looking to take it down

you are OOP WRT to the button so you have no way to get extra information

I think overbetting the pot by this much is a mistake. Lead out for 250-300.

I think its a horrible push IMO. Way too big of a bet for this pot. I dont like this hand that much. K9 is not a monster by any means. risking like 1600 for 450 with a decent hand? bet like 2/3 to 3/4 of the pot on the flop and go from there. Some people just seem too scared to try and play post flop.

Pushing here is bad. Overbetting the pot by 4x is generally a bad idea with any hand, be it bluff, marginal, or monster.

I would lead out for about 2/3 pot here. If I get raised, I don't feel too dirty dumping it. IMO, leading out is better than check-raising because it'll cost you much less to figure out if you have the best hand or not.

Well, I really don't think you should be looking to fold this hand. If you C/R, you can trap Button for a standard any 2 bet here.

That said, leading for t300 is a line that shouldn't suck, assuming your opponents aren't going to reraise you with Kx like I probably will.

Say he does re-raise me...am I wrong in thinkin that I would have seen a PF raise with K10-AK 4-handed?

correct me if I am mistaken here...

a push here is just bad... risking 1600 to win 450?? only thing that calls u has you beat. period. use that to decide how much to bet, or if u want to check raise. holla

never overbet the pot like this....the only thing that calls you beats you. it's a freaking rainbow flop for gods sakes. Bet out 300 or so....you don't have anything that remotely resembles the nuts...horrible push and the people that said "looks good" should have their heads examined.

With 11 bb and the big-stack limper, I probably just fold this preflop and look for good spots to steal. If you think the button will limp with trash and fold to a push, you could consider pushing here. I'm always suspicious of high-blind limpers though if it's not a very common thing for that player.

Like others said, dont overbet the pot like this. I would have lead for 300, and then slow down if called. However, Im sure "mr. tricky" would have flat called the flop, and id lose my chips on the turn anyways.

you went broke the wrong way, u should have lost chips either betting 300 or checkraisin all-in.
