This is my first post, please bear with me as I try the hand thing and if someone could do an example EV calculation on the hand for me that'd be great. So I'm wondering if this was a good play.
PP 20+2 2 table sng, blinds 200/400
UTG: 7905 solid player
Button(Hero): 5475
SB: 4445 weak, scared player
BB: 2175 average

UTG folds to me, I've got 78s I raise to 1000 with the thought process that SB will likely fold and hoping BB folds but pricing myself in to call his last ~1100 if he goes all in. (End result, SB folds, BB has AT goes all in, I call his last ~1100 getting 3-1 and I lose the 4550 pot.) Good, bad, thoughts?

If you're going to call to either of the pushes, you need to just push from the start. You'll find that the opponents range of hands for reraising you all-in are wider than his range for calling all-in, thus if you're going to raise, anything but pushing has less EV. However in this particualr hand, You've got over 10BB and decent position at the table so I think you can pass this up.
