Hey All,
Going to Vegas last week of September. Wondering if anyone had advice on where to find the softest Limit holdem games(stakes between 1-2 and 4-8).

Also, if anyone knows of good deals during that time please lemme know. i hear there are hotel packages where some casinos give you some money to gamble with(that can only be used at that casino).

any info much appreciated

cheers,
G

The smallest limit games I know are 2-4, and on the strip they're ALL soft. I've played on tighter free chip tables online. Play 4-8, the tables are just as loose and the rake effect isn't so bad.

When I was there in May I played at Imperial Palace and it is just unbelievable how bad these players are. I was able to clean up handily and I had just started playing, dont know what your experience is, but with if you have knowledge beyond the guy who watches the WPT every week you should do at least OK.

They spread 2/4 pretty much all the time and had a $1/2 NL table that got going usually around 8pm and went well into the night if I remember right. They also had daily NL tourneys but they were just crap shoots, for good easy cheap tourneys you are better off going to the Alladin, that is if things haven't changed in the last few months.

As far as hotels, do not stay at the Imperial Palace, I stayed there and while it wasn't horrible next time I will pay an extra $20-50 and stay at the Flamingo, Mirage or TI. Everyone here will tell you that getting a flight and hotel online will be your best bet, but I got much better deals for flight and hotel packages at my local travel agencies.

The Excalibur has soft $1-3 and $2-6 spread limit games (on any betting round you can determine how much to bet). Next door Luxor has a weak $2/4 limit. MGM's $3/6 and $4/8 games also are fishy.
At the other end of the Strip, Sahara has a decent poker rate (between $40 and $60 a night for 3 hours of play). Call poker room manager Fred Masters at 702-737-2317 during regular weekday Pacific Time business hours. The casino/hotel is at the bottom end of the Strip but on the monorail. It has fishy $2/4 limit and NL $1-2 games. Comps are a little weak, at $4 for 4 hours of play.
I've thought the former Horseshoe downtown (now Binion's) has pretty weak $2/4 and $3/6 games. You can get an $8 comp for 4 hours of play.
