XP taskbar just doubled in size?

I wake up this morning and come to the PC, and my Windows XP taskbar is twice as big as it used to be -

I can make it BIGGER, but I can't make it just one line again -

WTF happened? - Viri scan engaged, but it wasn't like that when I went to sleep, and the screensaver should have locked internet activity - strange...

Try killing explorer and restart it and if it is still big if so try now to make it smaller.

that didn't work, but I found the problem

somehow the quicklaunch ended up taking the whole line - and stuck the pages opened on the 2nd line - lameass - have no idea how that got set up that way...
