Has anyone else seen this commercial? It's a guy rapping to the tune of Baby Got Back, but about getting school supplies and [censored].

"I like backpacks and I cannot lie.
With a cell phone pocket on the side..."

And there are all these 12 years olds busting a groove with binders, et. Does anyone else find this commercial extremely disturbing?

I was actually trying to figure out if that was really Sir Mix-a-lot rapping that. I didn't really find it wierd because I was in high school when the song came originally came out and I saw lots of 12- 14 year old girls dancing to this all the time in gym class.

thats not some guy, thats sir mix alot himself. Talk about selling out.

I know its not like he ever had credibility anyway, but whoring youself out for a target ad is really bad.

I begrudge him nothing.

Yes, I too am appalled by the damage Sir Mix-A-Lot has done to his artistic integrity. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

normally it bothers me when songs are used for commercials but we're not exactly talking about the beattles here.

As I'm home from college for the summer, I had the unique pleasure of walking into the living room to find my mom dancing to this commercial. I don't know if she was aware of the original lyrics, and I didn't want to ask.

When I heard the commercial, I though Sir Mix-A-Lot had raised his artistic integrity.

A perfect example of why SIIHP is not remotely funny.
