This book has a lot of interesting stuff in it. His section on record keeping is excellent for people who play in his type of game. I have to say that I have never successfully hypnotized anybody by stirring the pot with my finger, and I keep eating my submarine sandwitches before I can bet them, but those are my own personal failures.

Caro and Fox were probably aware of this book, but they were playing in a different milleau, card-barn poker, and as far as I can see, their stuff is original. (I have never read Fox's book on hustling home poker, and would be glad to hear from anyone who can direct me to a copy.)

I bought How to Hustle Home Poker for 6 bucks in new condition from an Amazon merchant in January. They don't appear to have one right now. I also got Play Poker, Quit Work, and Sleep 'till Noon, and they still have a hardcover available. I haven't read them yet. Mason says this last one is a must read, and the first one is in some ways better although it got a slightly lower rating. Fortunately for me the one was 6 bucks, or I would have been in a complete quandary from this review as to which one to get /forums/images/icons/smile.gif How to Hustle Home Poker is a very thin book.

in "poker a guarateed income for life" he has an extended section on gardena poker where he prints opinions on players types, tells, record keeping and image that are literally exactly the same as fox who obviously taught caro. this guy, frank wallace turned out to be some sort of weird new age religious guy. he started a "religion" called neo-tech. i would love to hear more about him there must be some great stories from those "in the know".

For those who don't already know...you can read the full-text of this book on the web. It is located here:

Unfortuantely, its in html format (pdf would be a lot nicer for downloading/printing). I've read through it, but didn't find it very exciting (just my .02). Probably worth checking out, but definately not top shelf material.

Enjoy,

The wheel was invented independently around various parts of the world. Leibniz and Newton both independently invented Calculus. Sometimes, no one needs to have stolen anything from anyone.

I read it some time ago. Was kind of excited when I first found it on the web.

In retrospect it strikes me as an angle shooting book.

I didn't find anything in there that would allow me to "crush" casino poker.

As for Neo-tech... if it's so great (whatever his magical undetectable methods really are) why isn't Wallace running the world... or at least one measly little Fortune 500?

Seemed like a lot of hot air to me. But then, perhaps I missed something. If so, feel free to point it out to me.

Sincerely,
AA
