I live in Kingston, Ontario - medium sized town of about 60k halfway between Toronto and Ottawa - not exactly poker central. The major employers here are the university and six, yes six, prisons (a security level for every felon).

Anyway, on my way home today I pulled up behind a silver sports car with a big spoiler, didn't really have time to get a good look at the car or it's occupants, but the plate caught my eye:
POKRPAYZ (yes, up to 8 letters on ontario vanity plates)
This was in the student ghetto area, so I figure this was probably a student, either someone who runs a raked game out of their house (and likes to advertise the fact), or an online player (given that there aren't a whole lot of casinos around), in which case there is a good chance it might belong to someone here....

Anyone?

All right, first thing's first.

Kingston has 113,000 full time residents. And there are 12 correctional facilities in the Kingston/Frontenac region, if you count Milhaven Maximum (featured in a Tragically Hip song) and the four psychiatric wards. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I used to see that car around last year, with a couple of 20 yo guys in it. I assume one of them won a tournament on party or something and bought it. What a waste.

It might have been. It was the right size and general shape. Silver, with a big-assed spoiler and various other "improvements". Not my taste.

First time I've seen it, obviously, and I'm always on campus.

And thanks Diplomat, for correcting my lazyness re the details of this fair city.
