betting draws OOP on flop

I think I may be betting myself out to many hands in these situations. Would check call/raise be a better alternative?

Why are you betting if you cant stand a big raise ?

One option is to bet pot, and push a raise - so 1.40, if that was called and the dude raised pot then he would make it 5.50 or so to go, and it would be back to you (pot raise would be 22, so you could push it in here and not look tooooooo bad).

Problem is that there is a possible straight out there.

If you are planning to fold a raise, then check and call.

I agree, but if it was a min raise I'd call and see the turn.

There's nothing wrong with check-calling this flop either if you don't feel comfortable pushing your stack on a draw.

Definetly, I don't play back as much anymore when people end up giving me fantastic odds to draw to the nuts. Certainly you could push and it would probably be +EV, but then when you do get called you are often facing a monster. Might as well take the odds you're being laid + the low variance.

I love min-raisers.

Any stats. on villain? Could he be semi-bluffing with a draw? I'm okay with check/calling, but I prefer villain to have a bigger stack. If you raise, might as well put him all in. He'll be committed with any bet on the turn anyway. I think villain has 55.
