Hero has 500 behind on the button. Villian has 175. 6-handed.

EP folds, Villian calls in MP, CO Folds, Hero raises to 14 w KQ spades. SB+BB fold, Villian calls.

(pot 34) Flop: Kh Tc Jc. Villain checks. Hero bets 25 . What should be my action for the rest of this hand. What should have been my action? Why? I thought about it, if he raises, I have to call a raise with a hand that is likely behind, since i cant find any holdings that I am beating, and I will likely pay off til the end. Should I have checked and kept it small?

depends on your opponent. Betting or checking this flop is both fine though IMO. Keep in mind when you check flop, you get faced with tougher decisions later and will have to call more bluffs.

6-handed, good chance you have the best hand. If he raises, then decide if its worth it to play for $175 on this hand. If not, then toss it.

against aggressive oppenants, I probably will gain more by taking a more passive line. Thanks 2+2!

I don't mind a check on the flop, especially against a better-than-average opponent. I would plan on raising a ragged turn.
