I felt very disturbed when I watched this movie, as I feel that I closely emulate many of the antihero's (the main guy, not the jocky guy) personality flaws.

Anyone else have the same feeling?

My only feeling during this movie was boredom.

Personality flaws:
Helpless drunk
Drunk dialing exes
Stealing money from mom
Befriending morons
Hates job
Lying to woman he digs
Refusal to be honest with himself

Sounds like Everyman to me.

No, and I'm not an alcoholic, I'm talking about the mental part of this guy... being anal retentive, not dealing with stress well, social anxiety, etc.

I'm surprised this movie wasn't more widely accepted in this crowd, I thought it was excellent. As well, I can see what you are getting at, as the main character plays the role of everything from a mildly depressed guy to going off the deep end. I think a lot of people could relate to his character, or atleast find him entertaining.

WTF are you talking about? This crowd is composed primarily of 17-25 year olds. They're not exactly keen on the midlife crisis tip.

Speak for yourself. I've been in my mid-forties since I was a teenager.

I fit into your age group, and I completely disagree with you.

I don't recall specifying my age group.

Regardless, I liked Sideways enough to buy it.

The main character had a lot of good traits, he just needed to relax and roll with the punches more. Basically, he had too many feminine qualities.
