Ok I started by playing pot limit omaha high low, became good at it and still am and consistently beat the .50/1 and 1/2 games, just one problem, that game is rarely if ever spread live.

Well I decided ok because im going to vegas in about a week on vacation with my family I need to develop my skills at games that are spread live, I chose omaha high since its the closest thing to omaha high low. I started by being in a downswing it seemed, I have been playing it for 2 weeks and my first week of playing I ran into quads 4 times when I had the nut full house, I think thats a pretty bad downswing, but I only lost 1 buy in that whole week of playing .50/1 pot limit omaha high. Since then I turned it around and have been beating it. Its a small sample of course only about 6000 hands, since the first week I didnt play it full time, mostly part time after high low or when high low was bad.

Well the problem is this last week I played it full time for the first time and beat it pretty consistently. Its a problem because I could not find much time to play high low. I think I would have earned the same amount, but still I didnt play as much high low as I wanted to.

Another problem I have begun playing holdem, .50/1, 3 tables, my first day was yesterday. I sucked at it of course lost 7 bucks, ill get the hang of it with time im sure. Anyway im having a hard time playing everything. Yesterday I said ill play 2 games holdem and omaha high. I played 500 .50/1 holdem hands and then 800 .50/1 pot limit omaha high hands. I did very well, but I didnt play any high low. I am getting overwhelmed by the games.

Heres the thing, my favorite game is omaha high, I think its the best card game because of the amount of strategy involved and everything, I really would like to play that more. I want to learn holdem because its what everyone plays and because its spread in any casino and also limit can be very profitable from what I hear. However its just boring to me it seems, I cant push people out of pots, go for the big bluff or control people with my actions like I can in the pot limit omaha games. Omaha high low I enjoy, but most of all I feel like I owe it something, I mean I studied the game like crazy and learned a lot to consistenly win, not only that, but it also gave me a bankroll its like I owe it everything, so I feel I should play it. I dont know its just overwhelming me, I cant decide what to do? Any suggestions? Also playing 1500 hands in one day makes my head hurt, is this normal?

If you are in it for the strategy, skip the limit hold'em.

NL hold'em on the other hand is chess, and once you learn some of the nuances of it you'll find it more challenging than Omaha. I like Omaha, love NL holdem. As for limit... I'd rather shave gramma's back than play.

You really havent played pot limit omaha much, its a superior game to any form of holdem, but nl holdem does interest me, but once again its not spread everywhere you go like limit holdem is, it suffers from the same problem pot limit high low suffers from, people that arent any good get broke too fast.

i'd stick with omaha high low if i were you. nice, simple, mechanical game.

i notice that this post (like your others) is centered around you and what you like and what you do and your results. i know it's fun to talk about yourself, but when someone responds to you and you discount their opinion without any basis, and then even throw it back at them, it creates a situation where people aren't going to want to go along with these discussions centered on you.

maybe it's time to start asking some different types of questions about yourself?

I played 400 hours of nl holdem at the play chip tables and a few hours at the cash nl tables, I tried it thats what my opinion was based on.

Also have you seen my replies, I usually agree with people, you really should check post histories.

You always reply with a negative comment what does that mean? What does it say about you?

Yes I did check your post history, you always reply to my post for some reason and its always a smart ass type of comment, or something bashing me, whats the deal with that? Kind of weird...
