any posts written about how good your ace needs to be in order to open raise a pot in a

3 handed game
4 handed game
5 handed game
6 handed game

depending on position, etc? i'm a bit in the dark about what to do with A8o, etc.

It is not so important how "good" your ace is, but 1) how bad are your opponents 2) how good are YOU. If you play well postflop you can probably get away with opening A8 6-handed. If you are at a table where other players play better than you postflop, I wouldn't open anything less than A10s(and get a table change). THROW AWAY THE OPENING HAND CHARTS!!!!

for me with relatively loose-typical blinds it goes

A6,A7,A9,AT

I'm not sure if this means suited or not, but are you saying you won't raise A5 on the button in a 3 handed game??

From the button, I open raise any ace.

CO, any suited ace, and down to A6 or so depending on the button/blinds.

MP, A8

EP, AT

Of course, these are all meaningless, since I'll go lower/higher depending on table conditions.

The guy who said to throw away hand charts wins. It's bad for you.
