I call here almost always...short stacks tend to go in with less than AA/KK often enough to show profit with QQ vs AK~AJ JJ-

Doh I folded and later I saw him playing very loose.. oh well lesson learned..

Since it's his first hand, I'd be inclined to call this, but I don't play full ring. There are a lot of bad players, and I assume that a player is bad until proven otherwise.

You should call; there's always the chance that he's trying to be more Greek.
