edit: villain was farily solid. Hadn't done anything out of the ordinary the entire game.

Ok, here's what I do. I probably push/fold preflop, but calling for set value might be ok. So, you think Villain has an overpair here, because of the minraise?

Meh... But if you've got the read, go with it. I don't do this though.

Yeah I was about 80% sure he had an overpair merely based on the fact that he appeared to be a pretty straight forward player. I also can recall other times where I'm faced with a similar situation and the player always had AA or KK. This may just be selective memory.

I totally understand going wiht your gut here, especially if you think you have a good read on the guy. With blinds on 25/50 you still have 10 blinds left.

It's a good fold, one I should have made last night with AK, but didn't, and proceeded to push over the top.. he had KK, I flopped an ace, he rivered a flush, I felt like I got what I deserved, lol.
