I'm 100% sure I wouldn't have posted had I not busted out 4th. But is this a call preflop and on the river? Maybe I should've bet the flop as well, but I can't see it having much difference. Also, do you think I should bet for some reason? I'm pretty sure checking and calling was OK.

Is just pushing preflop not an option here? I think this is probably the best idea.

I think this is fold, both, pf and even on the river. PF: against two opponents 88 is a long shot (e.g., 3:1 if they both have different overcards), you don't have the implied odds to chase a set.

River: 3 overcards and bet into a dry side pot... I fold here and push one of the next 4 hands (possibly ITM by then.)
