Anyway, I got a cheap new one the next morning and it is simply dreadful. Any suggestions whilst I am at Best Buy tomorrow?

Thanks in advance.

They have them all out for you to fondle.. just find one that you're comfortable with. I really only care about the shape of my mouse.. fancy buttons, resolution or other features come 2nd to the size and shape.

Or you could get the most expensive one, that way you might think twice about breaking it /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Wow! Only at 2+2 will you get a response with overtones like that. The best part is that you held back and didn't ruin it with a tired "size doesn't matter" line.

Brilliant- in my opinion.

I am afraid that even if the cost deters me from smashing it repeatedly against my table that guy in your avatar will get it! /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I got the Microsoft Elite wireless keyboad and the mouse was the Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 came with it. I like it. I have seen the trackball ones but haven't used one.

I had to get a new one after I spilled egg drop soup all over my keyboard. In my anger I took the keyboard and mouse and chucked them out the window...and I live on the fourth floor. I could hear the splash as my stuff went crashing into the pond. So now the fish are using it.

Get one of those optical ones so you don't have to clean it. That is probably what I will get next.

Buy 2 so if your anger returns you have a backup on hand... (I know this from experience!)

I've destroyed many mouses and had the chance to try a number of different kinds.

mx1000 if you want a wireless
mx500 if you want a wired

If the wires don't bug you then the mx500 is the best choice, imo.

I know it's probably less convienent, but you should probably just get a wired mouse if you're breaking them in anger. It is SIGNIFICANTLY easier to break a cordless mouse.

I recommend anything from the Logitech 500 series.
