This movie kicks ass.

The answer is How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. I had sex with the girl after we watched it, but in hindsight it was not worth it. The sex was fine, but the movie was unforgettably awful.

I think it was called Home for the Holidays, with Jodie Foster and Robert Downey Jr., who played a total arsehole.

Slow, mealy-mouth Hallmark card/Afterschool Special sentimentality combined with a strange mean streak in Robert Downey's character that made it impossible to like his character, though I probably wouldn't have liked him all that much anyway. The movie was cynically sappy and unlikeable; the kind of slick hooey that makes you feel like you need to take a shower afterward to wash off the stink of phoniness.

The girl was hot, but I was practically writhing in pain from the agony of having to put up with that stupid movie. It was so bad it really put me on edge; I was actually a combination of sad and angry to be a part of that movie experience.

The Notebook is what's wrong with the world. Films like this give young women an unrealistic impression of what relationships are about. Sure many mature people can see that this is soppy load of utter garbage but some chicks actually think that guys like Noah exist.

Yes I too cried at the end, of laughter that is.

None of this dispells the common belief that Affleck couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. Good Will Hunting is a very good film but not because of Ben Afflecks acting. Matt Damon and Robin Williams carry that film.
