I think so. You still have quite have several chips left, plus the table is still 7 handed so theres more of a chance you run into a hand behind you. You can wait it out. What buy-in is this at?

i thought the bubble was 4 people. is this a multi table sng?

anyways, i really dont like this push. you have excess of 8 bb, and you're pushing a moderately weak ace into a huge field of players that could easily have something to call you with that would eather have you totally dominated (3.5:1) or hurting (2:1).

would much rather you push a weaker hand in LP or on the button with 5-6bb.

10+1. My concern is that I'm about to eat the blinds.

I fold it. Too many chances for someone behind you to pick up a hand. I was till blinds and LP to steal. better chance to suceed even with a worse hand.

Thanks. I see what you're saying: what you lose in cards you gain in information about who else is interested in the hand.

"Bubble" is a slip. It just seems to go together with the word "push," kind of like "maple" and "syrup." :-)

this is an easy fold, you're not at the bubble yet.

i forgot to mention that you need to push these kinds of hands when folded to. say 2 off the button with A8o. Then I would push with 5-6bb. 8bb you can afford to wait.

give yourself the mindset that 50-100 are not high blinds that will 'eat you up'. adapt a thinking that you need to start making smart push moves once you get into 75-150 when youve got a stack thats around 800. only get aggro at 50-100 stages when your stack is at or under 500-600ish

Yuck. The 1st pure +EV push in this spot is AKo. By this, I mean that there is no calling strategy that the other players can use to make pushing -EV. You have to make money by pushing AKo in this spot.

AQo is a calculated push altough you can lose if everyone selects a certain calling strategy (22+/AQ+ for example). The nice thing is that if people deviate from playing perfectly, you can turn a -EV push into a +EV push (why I say that it is calculated). If everyone turned their hands face up, it would clearly be wrong, but it is correct face down since people will not play optimally.

A9o is total garbage in this spot. People can actually play quite poorly and you still can't come out ahead. If everyone calls with 77+/AJ+ it is a big mistake to move in. You pretty much need everyone to call super tight here to make this push. Calling standards of 99+/AQ+ are borderline.
