You could fold, but pushing is fine if the limper is doing it often and is quick to drop to a raise.

I did get the limper to fold, but the SB called with KK and busted me out. Looking back at this, I don't know if I like my move, I'm not desperate yet and there are a lot of pairs that would have me dominated.

Any other insight anyone can provide? I'm a bit torn as to whether this was the right move and it was just bad luck or if I should have waited for a better situation.

I THINK this is fine. you got a little unlucky running into KK

BTW, any 10+1 regulars care to help this guy? I'm not sure it's totally correct because you're not stack-starved, and at a 10+1, the original limper might call with JTs or Q9 or something to that effect. however, this is how I'd play it at a 33 or a 55.

I play 22's and usually fold this midgame unless/until I'm closer to 7xbb. Perhaps i'm too cautious, but you have quite a few hands left and 55 is pretty weak.

I usually like to push this against my weak tight oponents, belive it or not you wont get hands like jt or such calling you. They will call with any ace and even try to trap by limping a hand like a5. At least your original read was right, sucks you ran into a monster.

I think folding is ok. But you're going to run into KK over and over again if you're a good player. It happens. Meh, very little you can do about it.
