I was playing a ring game a few days ago online and saw 3 quads in less than half an hour. I never saw it happen before but it was interesting since 2 of them were the same guy and 2 of the 3 quads were on the flop (player was holding pocket pairs in all 3 of them).

When should we be concerned about a "mechanic" in the dealer's seat?

Thanks,
Ken

When you're playing for high limits against someone named after a city.

If you were in on these pots, then yes I'd be concerned. But remember, you can't report your money missing until its been gone for over 24 hours.

I think what he is talking about is a "mechanic" in the dealer's seat. Not so far fetched.

The other day, I won the lottery? what are the odds? should i be concerned? is the lottery rigged?

and no i did not win the lottery so i will not stake in you online even though you "are a really good player" and just have to "play higher limits" because you "take so many bad beats"

does anyone think that this forum should have a FAQ that has all basic odds questions? Like, "odds of flopping quads" and all that stuff.

Also all "what are the odds my opponent has AA vs. my KK?!" should now be all answered with "pretty f'in good when he just re-re-raised all in and hasn't played a hand all night"

Sorry.

but i really do think the FAQ would be a good idea.
