Lyle Berman in SS2 suggests betting small amount with nuts and bluffs at the end cause he thinks its win-win situation. Cheaper bluffs and more probable payoffs.
I think this idea is completely wrong. With simple math it can be showed that betting maximum with nuts and bluffs with proper frequency wins most money. (If you want to see this without computations just think how much you would win by always betting minimum... then 2xminimum etc.)
Am I missing something here ?

Best wishes

Yes. If you think your opponent was on a draw and he has shown weakness you are much better off betting 5-10% of the pot, because you will get him to call and see if he lost. That's your money when he does. If he knows he's beat, and you bet the whole pot, he'll never call, thus, you give up on whatever small bet you may have made.

Now, obviously, you have to read your opponent in each situation, but the finl bet when you have the winning hand should be just enough to make the other guy call.
